Pateros Town Fiesta 2013

My apologies for the very late post of these pictures from the Pateros Town Fiesta 2013 held last February 10, 2013.

I was able to take the following pictures of this historic day, which were held mostly at the San Roque Parish Church. The Pateros Town Fiesta 2013 honors St. Martha, the town’s Patron Saint.

Better late than never.

The 3rd Pailah Festival of Pila, Laguna (Part 2 of 2)

After the Kainang-Bayan (mass lunch), the 17 Barangays performed another dance number in front of the Paila Church. It was street dancing with some acrobatic and cheer-leading moves. Most of the barangay featured the towns prominent livelihood – fishing and farming. Last year’s winner, Barangay San Antonio, have a dance routine that’s similar to the Las Vegas cabaret. They’ve used colorful umbrellas as well.

The winner of the 3rd Pailah Festival Street Dancing competition – Barangay San Miguel!

In the end, it was Barangay San Miguel who won this year’s Street Dancing Competition and took home the prize. Congratulations!

Over-all, the Pailah Festival is a celebration worth visiting. I’ll definitely attend the 4th Pailah Festival next year. We thank the Municipal Government of Pila, Laguna headed by Mayor Edgardo “Egay” A. Ramos for a very successful 3rd Pailah Festival.

I loved how they played “Pusong Bato”.

I hope the organizers would setup more buffet tables to minimize the pila (lines).

Surprisingly, there were no fishes in the menu. It’s mostly pork and beef.

Bokal (Board Member) Benjo Agarao of the 4th District of Laguna. He’s gorgeous! I like his speech – it was sincere, short and no political agenda whatsoever.

Rei Ann San Luis (son of Congressman Egay San Luis). He’s also gorgeous.

IMG_1354

Congressman Egay San Luis. He’s running for Governor of Laguna. I don’t like his speech. It was very long and full of political crap. It’s like he made the Pailah Festival his own personal Meeting de Avance.
