Last December was a blast in terms of company-sponsored Christmas parties and gimmicks. I’m a technical support agent and like most call centers out there, we usually have 2 Christmas parties in the company – one that is sponsored by the Client (or the Account that we’re supporting) and the other is sponsored by the BPO Company itself (based here in the country).
This was my first plate from the buffet dinner.
So the first company-sponsored party that I attended was held at One Lounge at Ortigas Center. It was my first time at that bar and it was a great idea. I was with my fellow call center agents from the same account. It was the account-specific party. There was a program and it includes the usual raffle, games, dinner and the drinking session.
The dinner was buffet and we were given a lot of food – pork Adobo, chicken drumroll, fish fillet, pasta and Chopsuey. I’ve enjoyed the dinner a lot. The drinking session includes the usual Vodka and beer from San Miguel.

The beer of choice that night was San Mig Light, which is a party-favorite. I was hoping that one of the new San Miguel Lifestyle Brews would be serve as well. I haven’t tasted the San Miguel Premium All-Malt, San Miguel Super Dry or the Cerveza Negra. Well, even with San Mig Light, the party was enjoyable since I spent it with my co-workers and great food.
The next company-sponsored party was more of a drinking session. There was no dinner but there are a lot of finger foods like Tacos, Lumpiang-Shanghai, sausages, and French Fries. It was held at Eden Night Club at Eastwood City, Libis. The place was ideal for a more intimate drinking session. No dance floor, no program, no raffle – just beer, finger foods and small talks with co-workers.
The beer that was served was also San Mig Light and I was hoping to taste one of the 3 new beer “brands” or “flavors” of San Miguel Lifestyle Brews. Like the 1st company-sponsored “inuman session”, I’ve enjoyed it a lot. These two parties are definitely drinking experience that’s above the ordinary.
I’m looking forward to the next drinking session with my co-workers. I’ll definitely try the new San Miguel Lifestyle Brews because I’ve been hearing a lot about these new “flavors”. I’m pretty sure that with the right set of friends from the company, great food (whether dinner or snack), and a nice cold beer from San Miguel, the drinking session would be a blast.
