1st Orosa Nakpil Food Festival

By Fritz Valle

I'm happy to be one of the bloggers who will be part of the 1st Orosa Nakpil Food Festival by the Malate Business Association. The league of bar owners along the streets of Orosa and Nakpil in the center of Manila's nightlife have come up with an idea to add spice, put sugar coating, sprinkle chocolates, and put a cherry on top to how we enjoy nightlife or our weekend bonding with friends. This event is not only for party-goers but most especially for food lovers (which makes all of us)!

Orosa Nakpil Food Festival

Gone are the days when we need to pay for an entrance to enter the vicinity and I hope it's gone forever. But of course, food are not for free. Haha!

I'm excited about this project because I want to help in maintaining Malate as the original spot for leisure, entertainment, business, and art in the metro. Malate is an artist haven. I also happen to be born there. Yes! On Singalong Street. Let's backtrack a little and rediscover the rich history of Malate by reading what Mr. Wiki has to tell us from his sources.

Each bar will offer their own specialties and they have invited food concessionaires to add to our choices. It will be like a school fair all over again except that there will be no ferry's wheel or carousel available. All we need are our friends and a HUGE appetite!

Save the date: March 16, Saturday. Event starts at 5pm. Before sunset and will last right before sunrise or maybe a little after.

Check the event here to join the event and also see who else are coming. Feel free to invite your friends.

I will raffle off something for my readers who will join this event. I will finalize it with the organizers and will post mechanics tomorrow. It could be a dinner for two, a barkada treat, or who knows... an eat all you can ticket! I will post the link on the FB event so be sure to check it out. For the meantime, spread the word and start planning, guys!
