P. Gomez Street, Pasig City

I’m sorry guys for the lack of updates regarding my lovelife. I’m still working on it. Unfortunately, my date last December 15 didn’t push through. Hopefully tomorrow, we’ll be able to meet. Let’s just call him Sef. He’s been occupying my mind lately. He’s a very energetic, charismatic and interesting guy.

Then there’s Dan, the blogger. I also wanted to know him better but he won’t give his number nor personal Facebook page. He’s been an elusive guy. I sure hope he’d open up more to me so that we could know each other better.

Let’s talk about something else.

P. Gomez Street is one of the oldest streets in Pasig City. It’s opposite the Pasig Catholic Church (Immaculate Concepcion Parish) and just behind Rizal’s monument. It has beautiful old houses from Spanish and American era.

As advised by Brian, I took pictures of these houses with the Sepia effect. Also, there’s one modern house in this street that is really an eye candy. I’m still using the automatic feature of my Canon EOS 1100D in these pictures.

Lately, I’ve been taking pictures using the Manual mode. Also, I setup a new blog on Wordpress that would feature my photos exclusively. Moving forward, I’ll be posting my photos there and would just probably post 2-3 pictures here as a preview. I would also learn to blog using Wordpress.

I wanted to focus more on my lovelife, gay stuff and call center career in this blog. This would probably be the last time that I’ll be posting a lot of pictures in one blog article. I hope you enjoy these pictures of P. Gomez Street, Pasig City.

2012 Plans for Ragnarok Online

I attended a meeting yesterday, along with 15 other Ragnarok enthusiasts, with GM Aeon of Level Up! Games at the Pacific Star Building. He presented to us the 2012 Plans for online game Ragnarok.

There are 3 major patches that will be released in 2012 namely: Port Malaya, Samurai’s Era and Bifrost. The largest and first to be released among these three is the Philippine-inspired Port Malaya (literally translated in English as “Free”).

Episode 25: Port Malaya will be released in Quarter 1 of 2012 (probably March). It’s a map inspired by Taal’s People's Park, Taal Volcano, Rizal Park and Corregidor Island. Some of the main features of Port Malaya are:

• Daily Quest (similar to Alberta Quest) which is JOB EXP-based
• All NPC’s of Prontera will have an equivalent in Port Malaya
• Introduction of Boss Monster (MVP) named “Bakonawa”
• Port Malaya will be the largest localized map so far. It will include 8 Maps, 11 Monsters (“Manananggal”, “Tiyanak”, etc.), 17 New NPCs, 15 New Quests and 15 New Items

Episode 26: Samurai’s Era will be released in Summer of 2012 (probably June). This patch will implement the second job class of Ninja which is named Kageborou and Oborou.

Episode 27: Bifrost will be released in Quarter 3 of 2012 (probably September). This patch will totally change everything again on Ragnarok Online since it will implement another balancing of skills (for the 3^rd jobs). This patch will also implement (for the first time) a Skill Reset. Bifrost patch will also feature the following:

• New Maps: Mora Town, Northern/Southern Observatory, and Maze Dungeon in Misty Forest (memorial dungeon).
• Lighthalzen Dungeon B3: New monsters featuring the 2-2 Job Class (Bard & Dancer, Paladin, Rogue, Sage, Alchemist and Monk). These monsters will feature the strength in a party form (unlike the 2-1 job class).
• New Hypermart System: Items being sold in the Hypermart will be classified.
• Implementation of NPC Space Cushion System: Kafra and other Non-Player Characters (NPC) will no longer be “overwhelmed” by players.

Next year will also feature (as usual) the Ragnarok Online World Championship. It will include:

• In-game events
• Agit Lords Season (January to April 2012)
• Wild Card Season (February to April 2012)
• Regional's (March to April 2012)
• PH Leg Finals (June 2012)

GM Aeon also presented us with the future changes on the game like Episode 28: Eclage. I’ll present that next time. For now, I’m calling all former Ragnarok players, magbalik-Ragna na kayo! (Start playing Ragnarok Online again). Next year will be a big year for Ragnarok Online. I sure hope that the Philippines will host this years’ Ragnarok World Championship.

Alex Lugawan and Sizzling

When I featured Ado’s Panciteria in my old blog, Elmer Loves Oreo, there’s a fellow Pasigueno who commented that I visit Alex Lugawan and Sizzling. He’s Dom Jullian, a fellow blogger, chef and food enthusiast.

I grew up in Pasig City and I know much about the places here but it was actually the first time that I heard such a famous lugawan. So I ventured on a journey, just recently, to search for Alex Lugawan and Sizzling. I was surprised to find out that it was located just beside the Colegio Del Buen Consejo, just opposite the Plaza Rizal (near the Immaculate Concepcion Church).

I ordered their basic lugaw with two tokwa (no “baboy” or pork) and a Mountain Dew. It cost me P47.00 and it was indeed “masarap” (delicious) as Dom Jullian has suggested! The place was not that cozy though but it can be improve and I’m sure it would attract more customers.

Right now, a lot of students from Colegio del Buen Consejo and Pasig Catholic Church flock to this famous lugawan. I would definitely go back to try their sizzling tapsilog.

“Beauty and the Beast” Tagalog Version

Finally, I’m done uploading the videos of the Pasig City Christmas Presentation 2011. It’s the Tagalog version of “Beauty and the Beast”.

I used my Canon EOS 1100D on this video. I was surprised that the original videos are 1.1 GB, 949 MB and 371 MB in size. I can’t verify what type of video format was used by the camera but the default description was QuickTime Movie.

I then converted these files into MPEG 2 format using Any Video Converter. The sizes were trimmed down to 72 MB, 59 MB and 23 MB respectively. I then uploaded these videos on YouTube. I hope you enjoy these videos guys! It’s my first ever video using my Canon EOS 1100D DSLR.

Pasig City Christmas Presentation 2011

Finally, I got to see the Pasig City Christmas Presentation being shown in front of the Pasig City Hall. It’s a daily show featuring an animated display (and Tagalog version) of “Beauty and the Beast” being stage from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

I don’t know when exactly this Christmas presentation started but it’s been around for years. Every year before Christmas, an elaborate stage/display is being showcased in front of the Pasig City Hall. I thought this is just a simple display until I’ve seen the actual show/presentation.

This year’s theme is the Tagalog version of “Beauty and the Beast”. It’s great to see puppetry at its finest. I’ve heard about this Manila C.O.D. show since I was a kid. It’s an annual Christmas show being staged at the C.O.D department store in Cubao (now Puregold). This is the only time that I’ve actually seen such presentation.

This a joint project of Mayor Bobby and Mrs. Maribel Eusebio, the Rotary Club of Mutya ng Pasig, and the Manila C.O.D. Animated Display. I commend them for having such a wonderful show!

By the way, I’m still uploading the videos I took of this Pasig City Christmas Presentation 2011 on YouTube. I’ve used my newly-acquired Canon EOS 1100D and I’m very satisfied with the quality of the video produced. For now, check out these pictures:
