I just came home from attending the Ragna Festival 2017 at the SM Annex, SM North EDSA today. I left around 3:00 PM just before the performance of Imago.
Nevertheless, it’s great to see that Ragnarok Online still has a HUGE fanbase here in the Philippines. It’s also good to know that the renaissance of Ragnarok Online in the country will begin this year. Hopefully the relaunch will be very soon.
Philippine Ragnarok Online started in 2003 and closed in March 2015. All the player data were then migrated to the International Ragnarok Online (iRO). This year, there’s a new publisher of Philippine Ragnarok Online – Extreme Electronics, a Thailand-based company. Together with Elite Global Sourcing, an international Game Management Solutions Provider based in the Philippines, they’re planning to tour the country to relaunch the game.
I’ll be publishing more information from their Media Kit but first, here are some of the things I’ve seen at today’s event, which they referred to us the press release/conference. At this point, we’re still clueless on when exactly will the server open. We still don’t have any idea whether it will be a Classic Server (up to Transcendent Class only) or a Renewal Server (up to the 3rd Job). We’re also wondering whether it will start from Episode 1 or the upcoming Episode 16.
