Finally, I was able to attend the annual hot air balloon festival. Now on its 19th edition, the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival held at Clark Field, Pampanga was quite an experience.
The festival is full of people and spectators. It’s also full of booths and exhibits that are related to flying – display of airplanes, both actual and remote control, etc. There are also a lot of people camping and just enjoying the daybreak – and the sight of huge balloons going up the air.
We went on the last day of the festival, Sunday, and it started quite early. The famous sunflower balloon is there as well as dogs, houses, twin faces, etc. I wish I could get a media pass next year for the 20th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival.
There’s another hot air balloon festival that is scheduled next week – the Lubao International Hot Air Balloon Festival. Hopefully, I’ll get more pictures of the event.
