I've been attending the feast of Santa Martha in Pateros for 3 years now. One of my fellow photographers live in Pateros and he’s always inviting us to this event. It’s a great opportunity to shoot specially that Pateros is just a jeepney away from Pasig City where I live.
This year’s celebration is very much the same as last year, except for the Pandangguhan’s venue. Last year, it was held at the church’s patio after the procession. This year, it was held on the streets. There are 4 venues of the street dancing along the streets of Pateros, which made it quite difficult to shoot, because of the spotlight.
We’re also expecting a major celebration in Pateros this year – marking the 200 year old anniversary of the Pateros Church (dedicated to San Roque and Santa Martha).
