I was truly shocked at the sheer number of ancestral houses in Taal, Batangas. It even exceeds the houses in Bagac’s Las Casas Filipinas. Taal, Batangas is definitely a must-see destination especially for architecture students, heritage enthusiasts and conservationists. I guess the most famous of these houses is the ancestral house of Marcela Agoncillo – the woman associated with the first Philippine flag.
