Camerahaus’ Photolympics

Camerahaus, one of the country’s leading distributor of cameras, is holding an event similar to Canon Photomarathon – it’s called Photolympics. This event is open to all photographers using any brand of cameras – Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Pentax, Sony, Samsung, Olympus, etc.

Camerahaus’ Photolympics will be held this November 26, 2016 Saturday at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) High Street (opposite Market-Market). Mark your calendars fellow photography enthusiasts… this will surely be a fun-filled day.

#TeamCanon for the win!

DPP’s 9th Anniversary In Pictures

Today marks the 9th anniversary of the country’s premiere photography magazine – Digital Photographer Philippines (DPP). It’s celebrated at 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig – particularly, the 9th Avenue portion of Bonifacio High Street.

It’s the usual thing – booths by sponsors (like Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, etc), photography talks, and model shoot. The thing that surprised me today was Panasonic’s boxing ring, Nikon’s street dancers, drone demo, and Sony’s bikers.

Ironically, DPP has no booth – no copies of DPP magazine being sold, past and current issues. Here are the pictures of today’s DPP anniversary.

Participants lined up at the sponsor’s booth for the stamp. Completely stamped “passport” entitles participants to the raffle.

Terra 28th Park, Bonifacio Global City

Aside from the Imagination Art Exhibit that I stumbled upon last Monday when I visited Nuffnang’s office to retrieve my Nivea gift pack, I also came across a new park near the Bonifacio High Street – the Terra 28th park.

IMG_4157

It’s mostly a children’s park but it’s also ideal for jogging and romantic stroll. It features such amenities like picnic ground, jogging path, rock garden, and areas for children’s games like Piko, Patintero, Luksong-Baka, among others.

I later learned from Google that this park was inaugurated in February 10 of this year by the Bonifacio Global City management. The park is located at 28th Street (thus, Terra 28th) and is one of the numerous patches-of-green in this highly urbanized area of Taguig City.

Everything in the park is a work of art, from trash cans, to the Chameleon statue, to the musical step, and the colorful playground. If you have kids and frequents Bonifacio High Street, you might as well visit this place.
