Annabel’s Restaurant for Biogesic Launch

I love the venue of the Thanksgiving Lunch given by John Lloyd Cruz to celebrate the success of “Unofficially Yours” and his renewal of contract with Biogesic.

The event was held at Annabel’s Restaurant at the corner of Scout Delgado and Tomas Morato Street in Quezon City. We were treated to a lavish lunch and we thank Biogesic for that.

Check out the food photography section of yesterday’s event.

Grand Parade (Part 1 of 3)

Finally, I was able to sort my recent pictures of the Panagbenga Festival into different folders like Burnham Park, The Mansion, Session Road, Camp John Hay, Baguio Cathedral, City Hall, Mines View Park, SM Baguio, Wright Park, Panagbenga Park, Volante, South Drive, Sizzling Plate, Upper Session Road and Grand Parade.

21-IMG_2481The highlight of the 17th Baguio Flower Festival Celebration (commonly referred to as the Panagbenga) is The Grand Parade along Session Road. This year, I’ve counted around 20 floats from major television channels, to products, establishments, clubs, pop culture, among others.

I’ve took around 208 pictures of The Grand Parade alone and thankfully, I was able to trimmed it down to 68. So I’ll be publishing these 68 pictures in 3 parts within the next few days. I hope you guys enjoy these pictures of The Grand Parade.

John Lloyd Cruz for Biogesic (Year 6)

Biogesic and Nuffnang invited 10 bloggers to a thanksgiving lunch with actor John Lloyd Cruz held at Annabel’s Restaurant, Tomas Morato, Q.C. Guess who’s one of the 10 lucky bloggers who were invited to the event.

The thanksgiving lunch actually celebrates two major events: the commercial success of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin’s movie “Unofficially Yours” and John Lloyd’s renewal of contract with Biogesic. This would be his 6th year as endorser of the #1 brand of Paracetamol.

As you probably know, Biogesic is the leading brand when it comes to headache and fever. It’s currently available in 500 mg. and has a suggested retail price (SRP) of P3.00. It’s been proven to be effective and safe relief from headache.

This is also a milestone for me since it’s my first time to attend a product endorsement / contract signing of a famous person. It’s a privilege to be part of this affair. I really felt like I became a journalist for a day. This is definitely one of the perks of blogging. It makes me feel closer to The Stars.

I also enjoyed the lavish lunch that the organizers prepared. I’ll probably post the pictures of the food tomorrow.

The event can be sum up in 3 parts: contract signing, question and answer portion and photo shoot with the man of the hour, John Lloyd Cruz. It’s my first time to meet him in person and I like his jokes! He’s indeed funny and witty in person.

Thank you Biogesic and Nuffnang for inviting me to this wonderful event and for the gift pack.

Albergo Hotel, Baguio City (Part 2 of 2)

One of the best things about Albergo Hotel in Baguio City is their Piazza. It’s a spacious, open-air patio that can be used for several purposes. Albergo Hotel also has a spacious Convention Hall, basement parking, cafeteria and commercial units.

However, the commercial units are very few. I guess there are only 3 stores in the hotel – including the souvenir shop called Philippine Treasures and Gustaeu’s Restaurant.

The Superior Suite that I availed from Albergo Hotel includes a complimentary breakfast for two. The only catch is, there are no choices. I only got a plain rice, egg and daing na bangus when I had my breakfast and there are no alternative to daing na bangus (no SPAM, ham, tocino, longganisa, etc). The daing na bangus is delicious by the way.

Upon entering the hotel from the Villamor Street, you’ll have to walk a few more meters before reaching the hotel’s lobby. You would pass by a series of columns arrange in a circular pattern that has a steel canopy. The design is really not elegant for a hotel. I’m just giving my two cents here.

The hallway by the way is spacious and well lit. Over-all, I would give Albergo Hotel a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
