DZRH, the country’s most popular AM radio station, is conducting a free medical and dental mission today, July 13, 2013 at the Nagpayong Covered Court, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City. This is part of the 74th Anniversary of DZRH and is conducted in cooperation with Mayor Maribel Andaya Eusebio, the Pasig City Council, DSWD and Senator Cynthia Villar.
Newly-elected Senator Cynthia Villar is schedule to arrive today to make an appearance and speech to the people of Nagpayong, Pasig City. In-line with the current issue of informal settlers, I am expecting her to make some announcement regarding the status of Nagpayong, Pasig City as far as acquiring the land is concern.
Nagpayong, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City is composed of more than 80+ home owners association, including Square Ville, and we’re still on the process of applying these land (Nagpayong and Kenneth area) through CMP. We’re still technically informal settlers in this part of Pasig City and the Urban Poor Services Office (UPSO) of Pasig City is doing little to speed up the process of applying these lands through CMP.
I hope that the city government of Pasig would not only conduct dental and medical mission like this one, but instead, provide a permanent answer to the issue of informal settlers. I have doubts about programs like this Free Medical and Dental Mission – I see it as a way to divert the real issue of informal settlers.
To Mayor Maribel Eusebio: please address the real issue here at Nagpayong – speed up the process of applying these lands to the CMP so that we could begin paying for the monthly amortization of our houses. We need to improve our lives by having a land with a title under our name first. Your first aid (i.e. medical and dental mission) is good, but we need real cure to the problem (land titles).
