New Look of Camp John Hay

One of my favorite places in Baguio City is Camp John Hay. I’ve visited it in June 2004, 2005 and last February 26, 2012 (after the Grand Parade).

The thing that surprised me when I visited Camp John Hay is the presence of Convergys (BPO) and the construction of Baguio Technohub Campus BPO-B. The latter is owned by Hillsford Property Corporation.

There are already a lot of shops opened around these buildings including 7-11, Starbucks, Brat Pack, Brothers Burger, Army Navy, Yellow Cab, R.O.X., among others. Perhaps they are planning to make Camp John Hay the BPO Center of Baguio City.

I still love the view in Camp John Hay – lots of pine trees! The souvenir shops around The Manor are still there. By the way, Camp John Hay is where World War II in the Philippines ended. Yup, Yamashita surrendered here on September 3, 1945.

Check out my pictures of the new look of Camp John Hay!
