I just got home from watching the Grand Parade for the Araw ng Pasig 2012 celebration. Today marks the 439th Year Anniversary of Pasig City and today’s celebration started with a Thanksgiving Mass in front of the City Hall. It was followed by the Grand Parade that showcases the people behind the different departments of the City Government of Pasig.
The Grand Parade also showcases the different barangays of the city with their colorful Marching Band, Drum and Lyre, Arts and Crafts and Non-Government Organizations (NGO).
The only problem is that the parade has A LOT of participants and it took forever for it to finish. In fact, the parade started around 8AM and it was still ongoing earlier at 12 noon. I didn’t finish the parade because it turned out to be a long Alay Lakad that even included students from different high schools in the city. It was very tiring to take pictures if a parade is as densely populated as the Grand Parade for the Araw ng Pasig Celebration.
Anyway, here are some of the pictures of the event that I took a few minutes ago. I’ll probably post more pictures of this event tomorrow. I have more than 300 pictures of this event. Good luck with the selection process.
More pictures to be posted tomorrow.
